Accents Of Muskoka has been founded on an extensive hands on career in craftsmanship. Previously operating on a turn key basis for development of properties our areas of expertise have become extensive. Services such as garage & boathouse construction, crib dock systems, renovations & additions continue to be part of our operating base.

CRIB DOCK SYSTEMS & DECKS

Once built, Muskoka Crib docks are supported by a rock filled “crib” constructed on land and then levelled on the bottom of the lake. Dock cribs are built in courses of two using either 6x6 inch lumber or hewn logs which are then secured at the corners with a threaded 3/4 inch coil rod. A crib floor is then installed to support rock which is loaded into the crib. A dock is then leveled, framed and decked atop the cribs through placement of the stringers. The size and shape of the dock determines the number and size of cribs, but a typical 6x40 foot dock in the Muskoka region would be comprised 3 cribs.
